BIG SIS ENERGY

Hi! I’m Ashley, and my career has taken many forms. I’ve worked as an advertising creative, a music journalist, a ghost writer, and a designer of sustainable clothing.

I was lucky enough to join the world of advertising in the mid-2000s at Chiat/Day NY under the leadership of Gerry Graf where creative was king. I worked with some of the best of the best. They took me under their wings and taught me how to navigate this crazy business.

Over the last two decades, I’ve learned more than I could ever put a price on. And now I want to share all the valuable tips and advice I’ve accumulated with you.

I’ve been helping creatives take the next steps in their professions for the last 10 years, while consistently reinventing my own creative career.

Whether you’re just starting out or ready to make your next big move, I’ll guide you on getting to the next level like a big sister or your new best friend.

“It takes courage to make big changes, and Ashley was both a coach and an ally for me when it was time for me to make mine. Ashley championed my desire for change immediately. She brought a calm confidence in me and my abilities to each of our sessions, and that confidence empowered me to flip the direction of my career, taking me out of doubt and overwhelm.

Ashley comes to coaching with the lived experience of making several very successful transitions in her own professional life. This knowledge of who she is made her words of support all the more impactful as she encouraged me to do the same.

Ashley pulled back the curtain on the nuances of the creative agency industry with the specifics that allowed me to identify the roles and agency models I was best suited for. She guided me with her proven strategies for all aspects of my career shift, from representing my work on my resume and portfolio site, to interviewing, to negotiating my salary with confidence.

Ashley brought specifics into the light that allowed me to present myself and my career brand in its best light. I made the move from a Broadcast Project Manager to an Agency Creative Director, and I could not—and would not—have done that without her coaching and guidance.”

“Ashley is literally a huge part of the reason I eventually pursued the world of marketing and advertising. Through her guidance she was able to show me how you can funnel a personal bent towards creativity into a tangible career choice.

From our early years together in the Boston music scene, she’s always had her finger on the pulse of what’s now and, more importantly, what’s next—always with a proper nod to the past (and what got us here). She’s been a key player in major bands’ success stories and journeys over the years and there’s no one I’d recommend more as an advisor to steer creatives of all backgrounds in the right direction.”

“Ashley knows the ad industry inside and out and is so direct and genuine with her advice. We spent hours talking about my approach, reviewing my site, and putting together a strategy that ended up producing a steady flow of well-paying work. She was such a helpful resource when I was getting started, and our dialogue was so encouraging and empowering, it gave me the courage I needed to take the plunge into freelance.”

“As a career coach and creative director, Ashley has been an invaluable asset to my professional / personal development. Her empathy and ability to truly understand my goals and challenges has helped guide me towards making informed and confident decisions about the things important to me…. In addition, Ashley’s ability to ask the hard questions helped me think outside the box and come up with fresh and exciting solutions to obstacles in my path. I highly recommend Ashley to anyone looking to move their career to the next level.”
